Vision Components TI Smart Camera | Texas Instruments DSP

Vision Components TI series of cameras are based around a Texas Instruments digital signal processor (DSP), and utilise the proprietary VCRT operating system.

The DSP is ideally suited to high performance image processing and in conjunction with VCRT is a mature, proven, stable, high-performance platform ready for deployment.

Available in either board-level or fully housed formats and with multiple models covering a range of features, performance and resolutions

Board-level systems

Ideally suited to OEM development, these small, reliable, cost-efficient vision systems are available in a range of resolutions and processors. There are also a number of remote-head and multiple-head versions for maximum flexibility.

Housed systems

Small, ruggedly designed, fast and flexible; the cameras are suited to most machine vision applications. Choose from:

VC nano series - a new definition of ultra compact machine vision systems!

  • Only 80 x 45 x 20 mm

VC nano 3D:

3D doesn’t have to be expensive!
With the VC nano we offer new options in the field of machine vision: intelligent 3D machine vision also suitable for 2D inspection tasks! The new VC nano 3D series unite all advantages of VC Smart Cameras: intelligent design and embedded computing in very compact housing. Measuring merely 140 x 70 x 35 mm, its housing includes an intelligent camera and a line laser with a 5 mW performance which enables the real-time recording of images at a scan rate of up to 400 Hz according to the triangulation method. The images can be analyzed by the DSP processor of the Smart Camera which has a computing power of 5,600 MIPS. Twelve different camera models cover a wide application range.

VC Base / Base+

Available in 3 resolutions in mono or colour these systems are pared back to the essentials but still have great performance
