Two Megapixel resolution for VC Z Smart Cameras with Linux OS

Fisher Smith are proud to announce that Vision Components expands the portfolio of real-time capable ARM-based Smart Cameras running the VC Linux operating system by adding VC Z 0015 models featuring 2 Megapixel CMOS sensors. This new high-performance sensor captures up to 50 frames per second in full resolution (1,600 x 1,200 pixels) and supports exposure times of 15 µs with a high-speed shutter as well as up to 1.28 s with a low-speed shutter. The high processing speed of VC Z 0015 Smart Cameras is ensured by their dual-core Xilinx Zynq ARM processor with two Cortex-A9 cores clocked at 866 Mhz. Cameras can be supplied in a miniature housing measuring merely 80 x 45 x 20 mm or in an IP67-rated protective housing, which is almost as compact at just 88 mm in length and comes with an optional integrated autofocus lens and LED illumination. Board cameras are also available as an ideal solution for machine or robot integration. These can be fitted with an on-board sensor, a single remote head or two remote sensors, e.g. to enable stereo-vision applications. Included with every VC Smart Camera, the VC Lib software library offers more than 300 functions for easy programming of image processing routines such as bar code recognition, shape and position recognition, or the verification of printed products.
